One of the most unique characteristics of the International Summer School “Youth and Heritage” is learning and experiencing the traditional Bosnian crafts and arts such as woodcarving, calligraphy, vernacular architecture, archery and sacred music.

Students on the School “Youth and Heritage” gain valuable experiences of contemplating and practical traditional life in Bosnian culture in which all human acts symbolize and represent inner order and balance as it is the case with any other form of sacred art. In the words, of Ananda Coomaraswamy that means that “the man incapable of contemplation cannot be an artist, but only a skillful workman”.
